Nestlé has introduced its low-fat, high-fibre breakfast cereal Nestlé Fitness to the Singaporean market.
Already available in Europe, Nestlé Fitness contains 10 vitamins and minerals, including iron and calcium, and is targeted at health-conscious women on the go. Calcium is increasingly important to prevent the high rates of osteoporosis while iron prevents fatigue and dizziness. The cereal comes in wholegrain wheat flakes, helping digestion.
"Today's women have demanding roles to play - long hours at work and rushed meals become inevitable in our lifestyle and this can take a toll on our health in the long run," said Audrey Liow, managing director of Nestlé Singapore, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Swiss company.
Jelle Tolsma, business manager for Nestlé Breakfast Cereals (Malaysia and Singapore), added: "Nestlé Fitness is quick and easy to prepare on busy mornings and a convenient, nutritious and energy-boosting breakfast, low in fat."
The cereal will be available in supermarkets, hypermarkets and mini-markets throughout Singapore from next month. The recommended retail price is $4.45 per box.
