The FDF is to hold a seminar for the UK food and beverage industry on the introduction of electronic export declarations, coinciding with its introduction on 30 April.

According to the FDF, the seminar will give "a chance for food and drink manufacturers to review the initial stages ofNES implementation and to discuss future challenges as Rural PaymentsAgency (RPA) electronic export licensing and CAP export refund claims go live".

The conference will look at how NES is progressing since its introduction into all seaports and many inland locations on 27 October 2002. It will also consider NES testing and implementation procedures, the advantages and challenges of the system and how it might affect manufacturers in the future.

The seminar will be held on 1 April in Central London. For more information visit the Food and Drink Federation's website, www.fdf.org.uk.
