SIG Hamba Filltec, the Germany-based manufacturer of filling and closing machines in open, partly or fully aseptic design, is gearing up for a series of changes which will effect the day-to-day running of its business.

Since last September, SIG Hamba Filltec has been managed by Rudolf Gutmann, previously managing director of a process and plant engineering company for the food industry in North America, Japan and the Nordic countries.

According to SIG Hamba Filltec, his personality and his professional background will enable him to guide and enforce the critical measures required to maintain and improve the technical standard of the Hamba machine concepts.

An initiative to enhance the performance has already been started. The initiative has meant a redesign of its technical service, which the company says is aimed at maintaining it position as an innovative, creative and reliable partner for its customers.

Another step in this direction was the move into the new premises which was completed by the end of last year. This building located at an industrial park in Neunkirchen now combines manufacturing and administration under the same roof, which the company says has vastly improved its internal communications and operative capabilities.

SIG Beverages is an internationally leading manufacturer of plants and systems for the production of plastic packagings as well as complete solutions for the beverage industry. Since January 01, 2002, the newly created division of the SIG group is comprised of the former SIG Plastics (previously Krupp Kunststofftechnik) and the former SIG Simonazzi (previously the wet area business of Sasib SpA).
