Danaher seals Willett buy

Danaher Corporation has completed the previously announced acquisition of Willett International for approximately $110 million (€105.7m).

The purchase includes the assumption of approximately $27 million of debt that the UK-based company currently has outstanding.

Willett, with approximately $110 million in yearly revenues, is a significant manufacturer and marketer of product identification equipment and consumables.

"Danaher purchased Willett with the intention of growing and developing our business," said Robert Willett, chief executive officer. "There is no question that Danaher will continue to support Willett's customers and invest in its products and people. Initial plans strongly suggest that Danaher will increase Willett's level of investment in customer support and product development.

"Operational and process improvements that bring about strong gains in quality, cost and delivery are at the heart of the Danaher business system. A key measure of Willett's success as part of Danaher will be our ability to satisfy customers beyond their expectations."
