Biscuits go Tetra Pak
the Spain-based Siro Group has launched chocolate flavoured
biscuits in a 1-litre Tetra Rex aluminium-lined package.
Further to Tetra Pak's ambitions to expand beyond liquid packaging, the Spain-based Siro Group has launched chocolate flavoured biscuits in a 1-litre Tetra Rex aluminium-lined package.
The biscuits, which are shaped in the form of the popular Simpson cartoon character, needed a distinctive type of packaging to distinguish them from other brands on the market.
The Tetra Rex type of packaging gives a more distinctive appearance as well as providing greater protection to the biscuits.
According to marketing feed-back, the customer appreciated the differentiation and shelf appeal, and on the strength of this Siro plans a country-wide distribution in supermarkets and hypermarkets throughout Spain.
This is the first launch of dry food in cartons in the country and Tetra Pak Spain is now working closely with a number of its existing customer to expand its product range in Tetra Rex cartons.
