In the US, Crown Cork & Seal's executive vice president, Dr Daniel A. Abramowicz, has been included on Clemson University's Packaging Advisory Board, an integral part of the school's department of Packaging Science.
The twenty-member board is composed of senior executives from the packaging industry that work closely with the South Carolina Clemson University faculty and administration in matters of facilities, student recruitment and placement, curriculum development and strategic planning.
"Both Crown Cork & Seal and I are honoured to become a part of Clemson's Packaging Science Department," said Abramowicz. "We look forward to working with the board to help guide the future of this prestigious programme."
"The Department of Packaging Science is pleased to have Dr Dan Abramowicz join our advisory board," said Ron Thomas, professor and chair of Department of Packaging Science, Clemson University.
"Since our programme is highly aligned to industry, and depends heavily on the advice of our board to guide curriculum and research, we seek out leaders of highly successful companies to participate. Dr Abramowicz brings these attributes to the table, and we look forward to this association."
Abramowicz joined Crown Cork & Seal in 1998. Prior to that, he served as a key member of the GE Corporate R&D leadership team, working for the company in various capacities for fourteen years.
