AT Plastics of Canada has appointed James Gingerich to the position of executive vice president, finance and chief financial officer.
Gingerich will be directly responsible for the overall finance and accounting functions of the company, in addition to assisting with long-term strategic financial planning.
"We are pleased to welcome Jim to the AT Plastics team," said Gary Connaughty, president and chief executive officer. "His track record and depth of experience with the investment community and the capital markets will be extremely valuable to the company as we focus on maximising earnings potential and improving efficiencies."
Gingerich brings some 20 years experience in corporate finance and development of strategic financial initiatives. He has held a number of senior financial positions with a broad range of Canadian-based companies including Irving Tissue and Electrohome. Most recently, he was executive vice president and chief financial officer of InterTan, a position he held for seven years.
AT Plastics develops and manufactures specialty plastics, raw materials and fabricated films products. The company operates in niche markets where its product development and process engineering have allowed it to develop proprietary and patented technologies to meet evolving customer requirements. Specialty plastics markets generally provide higher margins and more price stability than commodity markets. Products are sold in the United States, Canada and the rest of the world.
