Itech Corporation, the Australian-based industrial IT systems integrator, has had its plant monitoring tool recognised, according to a report from Industry Search.
The Consensus Manufacturing award went to the company for its productivity enhancing plant monitoring tool, iView.
The software is a 'real-time plant operations information tool' designed to optimise the plant equipment and labour resources. It replaces inefficient manual data collection methods to give manufacturers automated data collection immediately and in a simple format.
Itech managing director, Nick Fondas, described iView as a tool to measure Key Performance Indicators such as production rate, production efficiency, asset yield and asset utilisation. "It can also be used to show reasons for downtime and duration, product changeover times, performance in terms of throughput of product manufactured, performance in terms of yield, productivity per shift analysis and overall equipment effectiveness," said Fondas.
According to the company, iView can be installed on a single production asset, a production line or across a manufacturing cell. The data iView analyses, displays and reports is derived from automation equipment associated with the production assets, and the operator input.
"This product has been developed from the ground up by our team," said Fondas "so we feel the Consensus Manufacturing Award is great recognition for all of our technical staff who worked on the project."
