Then the international Asia Pacific Brewery, a network of 14 breweries in eight Asian countries, awarded a contract to the brewery supplier from Freising to expand the brewery in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Thai Asia Pacific Bangkok Brewery will invest about €17 million in the construction of the new brewing plant in order to double its annual beer output to more than two million hectolitres.

The Thai group is profiting from the current strong trend towards beer in its country, a trend that is apparent from the statistics. The business report of the concern shows an increase in profits for Thailand of 33 per cent.

Steinecker will deliver a complete brewhouse as well as fermenting, storage and filter cellars to the capital of Thailand - including the newly developed candle filter, Twin Flow System, for beer filtration. Krones will complement the new construction and will install an additional filling line in the already existing Krones filling plant.
