Coca-Cola is to be manufactured in Mongolia for the first time after a bottling plant was opened in Ulaanbaatar.

Coca-Cola is to be manufactured in Mongolia for the first time after a bottling plant was opened in Ulaanbaatar this week.

The factory was opened with an official ceremony which was attended by the Mongolian Food and Agriculture Minister, the US Ambassador to Mongolia and the Asian Pacific region director for Coca-Cola, Scott Price.

The factory will be run by Mongolian beverage manufacturing specialist, MCS Company. According to MCS General Director J. Odjargal, he has invested overall €4 million in the bottling plant, which has the capacity to produce 18,000 items per minute and 26.4 million bottles of brand beverages annually.
