Joseph Bauerhas has been named vice president manufacturing at Tasty Baking Company, one of the largest independent bakeries in the US.
Bauer, 55, will assume the responsibilities for all aspects of Tasty Baking's manufacturing processes.
Under his leadership, the company has implemented some of the most comprehensive quality assurance programmes in the industry. He also oversees the company's research and development, regulatory affairs, manufacturing and engineering operations.
"Joe will begin the task of preparing the manufacturing department to meet the needs and demands of the future, as well as become a member of the executive committee," said Carl Watts, CEO for Tasty Baking.
Tasty Baking Company, founded in 1914, has annual sales of $255 million and distribution in 49 states, plus Puerto Rico. Tasty Baking Company operates two bakeries in the Mid-Atlantic region offering more than 100 different products.
