Gainco, the manufacturer of automated weighing equipment, has launched a new weigher system to provide fast and accurate in-motion weighing of poultry products.
The GS-2400 Check Weigher Systems equipment has been designed to withstand the rigours of heavy use in a processing environment.
The machinery is made with heavy-duty type 304 stainless steel tubing and has a hermetically sealed loadcell design with 8-point overload protection and NEMA 4 controller enclosure to prevent damage to "smart" components from harsh washdown and production processes.
The company also claims its new product has user-friendly screens that increase uptime and reduce maintenance costs. Hardware and software packages are custom-configured to meet specific customer requirements.
The Gainco check weighers' reject arms are designed to handle products gently, thereby optimising product quality and appearance. Intralox plastic belting is also used for reliability and enhanced sanitation.
Dataman Data Collection System, available for use with check weighers and all other Gainco equipment, is a software/hardware combination allowing for the integration of all remote units on the production floor. Operators can set parameters for individual pieces of equipment, monitor yield and throughput, and create customised reports all from a single location.
In addition to whole bird sizing and distribution systems for broilers and turkeys, the company also makes in-motion portion sizing equipment, high-speed sorting and counting systems for whole birds, fronts and saddles, batch weighing equipment for processing parts into bags or boxes and counting systems.
