Unilever honors pallet partner
Unilever grants the award annually to partner companies that help grow its business, reduce environmental impact and otherwise boost value. Unilever said CHEP has helped it save $3 million through various joint efforts.
Pallet partner
Wendy Herrick, Unilever North America’s vice president of customer service and logistics, said the honor marks CHEP as a leader in creating supply-chain efficiencies.
“This award represents our appreciation for our partnership that has resulted in both a reduction in costs and increased productivity,” she said.
Collaboration contribution
Daniel Walsh, vice president of USA sales and customer collaboration for CHEP, said the designation signifies the importance of collaboration between food firms and suppliers.
“It is a testament not only to the relationship we have built with Unilever but the outstanding teamwork and collaboration of the Unilever Warehouse Central Pallet Team and CHEP Sales & Customer Operations account teams have made to support Unilever’s overarching business goals and objectives,” he said.
“We are committed to extending and expanding that support in the future as we work together to optimize the Unilever supply chain,” Walsh added.
Unilever has worked with CHEP for more than 20 years, since it first deployed the firm’s pallet solutions in the US. Its food and beverage brands include Knorr, Hellmann’s and Lipton.
